of the same family :
Mental deficiencies, learning disorders and linked handicaps ?
Affected individuals may carry a mutative gene on the x-chromosome.
These mutations are the first causes of hereditary mental disabilities!
Up to 15,000 persons in France are faced with this situation.
Their needs include reimbursement of medical, educational, and social and professional expenses, and an adequate support system for themselves as well as for their family members.

Our association represents families confronted with a mental disability linked to the x-chromosome, and who are not represented by existing associations : Fragile X, Rett syndrome...
Our main goals :
1. Facilitate the integration of disabled people in society regardless of their age or status
and defend their right to compensation.
2. provide information about these disorders in order for the families to be reimbursed properly
3. support research programmes and promote accessibility to the best medical techniques available
4. provide competent help aimed at relieving the psychological and moral distress linked to the impact of the handicap on the person and his/er family.
